Travel Vaccinations

 

We strongly recommend that you seek professional advice regarding any vaccinations required for your holiday.  This is provided by our practice nurse and in consultation with the doctor. You must ensure you have your vaccinations in good time for your travel in order for them to take effect. The NHS provides some, but not all, vaccinations for people travelling abroad. Those vaccines which are provided free of charge by the NHS for travel abroad are:

  • Typhoid (to some countries)
  • Poliomyelitis
  • Hepatitis A

Vaccines that are not funded by the NHS for travel abroad are listed below with the fees:

Antimalarial treatment

 

See Malaria - Fit for Travel. Avoidance of bites is extremely important. Antimalarial treatment type depends on you travel location. Antimalarial preventative treatment is also not funded by the NHS and costs outlined below:
